This sapphire is a rich red with a warm padparadscha hint. Depending on the light it’s in, it reads predominantly red, warming toward a pinkish orange-red — like the last glow of a sunset.
TGT (Temperature Gradient Technique) sapphire is lab grown using a precise method to pull a single crystal from a molten alumina melt, making it a top choice for gem cutting. Its high purity and uniform crystal structure yield exceptional clarity and brilliance, resembling natural sapphire. Ideal for creating stunning gemstones, it offers durability, scratch resistance, and vibrant color, making it a prized material in the world of jewelry design.
While the TGT method is similar to Czochralski, the TGT method relies on a controlled temperature gradient within the crucible, while the Czochralski method focuses on the controlled solidification of a molten melt.
With the dichroic nature of sapphire the shade of the stone may be different through each of the axis. Pick the one you like best.
