Padparadscha TGT Pulled Sapphire - Grade A - Faceting Rough
Padparadscha TGT Pulled Sapphire - Grade A - Faceting Rough
This sapphire was sold to me as a medium Padparadscha color. Depending on the light it is in it can appear pink, or pink with a little orange like Padparadscha.
TGT (Temperature Gradient Technique) sapphire, is lab grown using a precise method to pull a single crystal from a molten alumina melt, is a top choice for gem cutting. Its high purity and uniform crystal structure yield exceptional clarity and brilliance, resembling natural sapphire. Ideal for creating stunning gemstones, it offers durability, scratch resistance, and vibrant color, making it a prized material in the world of jewelry design.
While the TGT method is similar to Czochralski the TGT method relies on a controlled temperature gradient within the crucible, while the Czochralski method focuses on the controlled solidification of a molten melt.
With the dichroic nature of sapphire the shade of the stone may be different through the each of the axis. Pick the one you like best.
The faceted gem is for example only, and is not included.

Very clean material with strong pleochroism. Peachy pink with strong orange reflexions, i am not familiar with natural pad saphires but am a sucker for this one for sure !
I am attaching a picture but reminding you that its hard to capture its true color, it looks better in person.
As for the purchasing process, very smooth, quickly sent and faithful to the pictures. I love the millimeter paper pictures which greatly help to appreciate the size of the sample. Hope there will be more of that material to purchase in the future.
