Various sizes of Lutetium Aluminum Garnet (LuAG) rough for faceting and gemstone creation.
LuAG has a crazy fluorescence, in sun light and even normal room lights, it will show its bright fluorescence. A black light will make the material glow crazy bright as shown in the pictures.
LuAG constantly glows a bright yellowish green, much brighter than Ce:YAG .
LuAG is originally developed as a scintillator crystal for detecting radiation. It however is not radioactive.
