Clear Hydrothermal Synthetic Quartz - Lab Created Faceting Rough

Clear pieces of synthetic quartz.  This lab created quartz is grown using the hydrothermal process creating flawless material that is chemically identical to natural quartz. As part of the growth process, a piece of clear quartz is used as the seed plate for the new colored or clear quartz to grown from.  There are some faceters that like to leave this in to increase the overall size of the gemstone, hiding it within the final stone.  There are also others that do not want the seed to be part of the final.  the choice is yours.  There are pieces that include the seed and others that do not. Since the seed plate is clear quartz, you will not see the seed plate in most of the pieces.
