The video of the cut stone was kindly shared with us by @clarapepperfacets, who did an amazing job capturing the stone's color-change properties. The colors in her video are impressively close to how they appear in real life.
Since this material is part of an experimental batch, it’s not entirely flawless and the dopant isn't known. We are suspecting it contains some vanadium. Many pieces contain tiny micro bubbles that may be visible while faceting but don’t typically impact the stone's visual appeal to the naked eye. As well, pieces with the shiny edge of the boule have a thin purplish rind under certain lights. These features will create some very unique cut stones.
Some sections have larger inclusions, and we’ve carefully isolated those pieces. While these aren’t included in this listing, they will be available in a future sale at a significant discount.
For the current selection, we’ve prioritized the best-quality pieces. However, some stones with noticeable micro bubbles will be listed at a discounted price for those who appreciate that aesthetic in their final stones.
